It is an honor to have you here. The book of Ephesians tells us that God intends for his people to display his wisdom and glory. I can't wait to see what God has waiting for us.

Cold Water is a way to describe the comforting and bracing reality of God's truth, plus its potential for change in our lives. My hope is to bring the truth and grace and reality of God to bear on all of life's issues and circumstances. I desire to be biblically faithful with both my approach to you and the counsel I share.

I knew I wanted to work with people after spending several summers with Florida Easter Seals. I considered medicine but decided it was hearts and minds that interested me more. I spent 4 of my hardest years with Thompson Children's Home, then fell in love with medical social work. After my masters degree and 6 years in acute care, I did some more intensive work with teens, spent an amazing two months in Olympic National Park (You need to go there. It's where most of the website pictures are from), and then spent nine incredible years with Gaston Hospice.

Now, since 2014 and by God’s grace, I love being a biblical counselor. I am privileged to have friends that both nourish me and allow me the privilege of sharing in the joys and sorrows of their lives. My wife and sons are my absolute joy. After almost 20 years in downtown Gastonia, we’ve now transitioned to beautiful Morganton, NC.

I enjoy reading, porch sitting, good meals, and better conversation. I also love the beach, hiking mountains and streams, road-trips, and seeing new places. But enough about me. Please enjoy the content on the blog and my social media pages. If it helps you please share it! Contact me by clicking here. I am eager to be of service to you and all that would come thirsty for cold water.

I pray that your eyes would be increasingly opened to God's kindness to you out of the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

Like cold water to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.
